Here are the two hotels we strongly recommend:
Hotel Gran Jimenoa and Jarabacoa Mountain Hostel.
➵ Reservations for private transportation/transfer. They are as follows (per car not person):
Transfers from Jarabacoa = $40 each way.
Transfers from Santo Domingo = $150 each way.
Transfers from Punta Cana = $300 each way.

YOUR PICO DUARTE TRIP ITINERARY (3D/2N)
Day 1 | Base Camp to Comparticion
✓Meet and greet with guides at Manabao base camp
✓ Load baggage onto mules
✓ Lunch = Sandwich + fruit (upon request)
✓ Dinner = Sancocho (Dominican beef stew with Dominican complex carb root crops + rice + avocado)
✓ 18-kilometer hike (11 miles) to Comparticion from Manabao base
Day 2 | Comparticion to el Pico Duarte
✓ Breakfast = yuca/cassava (complex carb/root crop) with cebollitas, salami, cheese, and eggs.
✓ Oatmeal + boiled eggs are available for the more conservative eaters
✓ Last leg of the hike to the top of the Caribbean: Pico Duarte! (2-4 hours)
✓ Relax by the camp base
✓ Lunch = Sandwich + fruit (upon request)
✓ Dinner = Asopao (tomato rice stew with chicken)
✓ 11km round trip
Day 3 | Comparticion to Base Camp
✓ Breakfast = mangu (a very Dominican breakfast of mashed plantains which are good for hiking/energy with cebollitas, salami, cheese, and eggs)
✓ Oatmeal + boiled eggs are available for the more conservative eaters – upon request
✓ Hike back down from Comparticion to Manabao base camp
✓ Lunch = Sandwich + fruit (upon request)
✓ 18 km hike back down

4 travelers = $300/person
Premium package = $750 USD (minimum two people) – includes extra mules, round trip transfer from Jarabacoa, hotel the first and last night, and massage + facial from a licensed local masseuse in Jarabacoa. All rental equipment except for hiking boots. We plan it all, you just sit back and relax. $950 for one solo traveler.
SUPER STAR PACKAGE = $4,500 per person. This includes a helicopter ride that brings you down from el Valle de Tetero. Also includes everything from the premium package listed above. (4 Days)
