NYC Kayaking and Wine Tasting – Day Trip from New York
Get picked up from two pick-up locations in New York City and get ready to a day tour kayak, wine taste, and relax. Our guides will answer any questions on the ride and, before you know it, you’ll be paddling down the pristine Delaware River.
You will spend 2-2.5 hours kayaking on the Delaware River. Somewhat satisfied
The day was fun, but the location of the lunch was unorganized, slow and they only had enough vegan food for 2 or 3 people and non vegans had that food. What you should have done was taken orders ahead of time, so the vegans had enough to eat. They also ran out of desserts and other items. Also, the winery was not prepared for our group, that was very unorganized as well. There should have been a separate section ready and waiting for us with seating and enough staff, not everyone running around trying to find where to go and only one or 1.5 people being slammed with all of us at once and not ready or enough room for us all.08/15/2023
Wine/Kayak Trip was a blast!
We had a great time! Do wish some of the directions had been more clear (you can leave items on the bus, you can change to nice clothes for the winery), but these were very small details. The guides were great, the transitions from one activity to the other were very seamless; it was a beautiful day on the river!07/12/2023
Adventure.
The guides were amazing although the crew of the kayaking were informative, but the guy who literally read the information was a little alarmist and also you can see he wasn't quite prepared for giving us the information. I hope you can help him.07/12/2023
Great experience
It was a great experience everyone was nice and helpful and the wine tasting was good and so was the food .. this is my second year enjoying the kayaking and winery tasting this is definitely a great experience for anyone!09/01/2022
Good trip
Very much as I expected, well organized Only suggestion I would have is to have more time at winery. Maybe eliminate lunch at kayaking place - lunch was ok but would have been better to eat at winery07/12/2022
The trip was great!
I enjoyed the kayaking and the two women who chaperoned the group. Raven was hilarious. The bus was properly airconditioned and we stopped to use the bathroom and to buy supplies such as water shoes if some did not bring any. The kayaking was nice yet tiresome at times when trying to catch up to the group. I wished they had set up a time for people to enter the water to swim after kayaking. The lunch was okay. Although the proportion size was great, the turkey tasted a bit off. The wine tasting is not that great if you are not a lover of wine yet enjoy cider. The pros are that you get to sample four different wines or cider and they give you a free bottled water afterwards. The cons, the ciders tasted awful.06/28/2022

Great experience
Although things are being done a bit differently since COVID, the experience was still lovely. Thank you Sourced Adventures team for being great. We had a wonderful time down the river and at the winery. Just wish we had more time to relax at the winery, but of course we needed to make it back in time. Will def see you guys again on our next adventure!

Could be better if you specified for groups or individuals.
Ian was a great tour guide and it was good overall but I felt like a lot of the trip was couples or large groups that already knew each other. I was hoping you could separate more in the future for events that are better for groups versus individuals.FAQ
Where do I meet the bus?
The first pickup is always at our HQ located at 85 Delancey St on the Lower East Side between Ludlow & Orchard.
The second pickup is always West 45th & 11th Ave on the street across from Gotham Market.
It is always the same bus picking up downtown and heading uptown so if you’re meeting a friend and each wants to use separate pick-up locations that is no problem, just inform your guide.
How long is the trip?
The entire trip is a total of about 11 hours.
What should I bring for the day?
- Clothes that you do not mind getting wet. i.e. – bathing suit, quick dry shorts/top, sports bra, etc…
- A pair of closed-toed shoes. They will not let you on the river without them.
- A dry change of clothes and shoes. This is a big one. We want you to be comfortable at the vineyard and to have a nice ride home, and a pair of dry clothes is the way to do it.
- Waterproof camera / Go Pro. This is not necessary, but always a plus to capture the day with. We strongly vote against bringing your phones on the river with you, unless you have a waterproof case for it.
- Food for the ride. Make sure you don’t end the ride on an empty stomach. Bring some snacks for the bus ride there and back!
- Water bottle. Always important to stay hydrated throughout the day.
- Cash/Credit. We supply lunch for you, however, if you want any equipment add-ons or to purchase wine at the end of the day make sure you have some cash handy.
What should I bring with me to the river?
Just yourself! You can leave all of your belongings on the bus, as it will be locked throughout the day. If you want to bring your phone, please make sure it is in a protective waterproof case…there is a solid chance you’ll get wet.
Do you need to know how to swim to attend this trip?
Although it is not required, it is strongly suggested.
How long is the drive?
The drive, depending on traffic, is around 2 hours.
Can I bring my kids on the trip?
Unfortunately, no. This is a 21+ trip.
Can I drink on the river?
Not on this trip…though you can grab a bottle of wine to split with friends on the way home. On another note, you might want to check out our River Tubing & Brewery Excursion…
Am I allowed to smoke on the river?
No, smoking is not permitted in national state park zones.

The trip is nonrefundable. No full or partial refunds are given to customers who miss the event. In the event of a cancellation by the operator, your ticket will be fully refunded. Event subject to change/cancellation based on weather/river/snow level conditions. All trips run rain or shine; in the unlikely event of a cancellation, you will be notified via email. There are no reschedules or refunds for missing the bus or no-shows. Each ticket is good for one (1) person unless specified otherwise. Trips involving alcohol are 21+, and a valid ID is required. All other trips are 18+. The deal is valid only for tickets on the date[s] of the event as listed and may not be exchanged or redeemed for any other dates. Provided transportation by Sourced Adventures is required; you may not drive yourself.
To attend any Sourced Adventures trip whether your ticket is purchased directly through Sourced Adventures, Inc. or any of its affiliates, distributors, or partners you are required to sign and submit a copy of our release of liability waiver before departure.
