Here are some of the coolest Dominican fruits to try on your next visit to our beautiful island!

Chinola

Native to the island, chinola, AKA passion fruit, is citrusy with a mouth-watering aroma. Since it is sour, it's often sweetened with sugar/honey. It's a local favorite for juices and cocktails, too!

Jagua

This small but potent fruit is also native here! It is used to make fermented drinks and medicinal teas.

Anon

The sweet anon is easy to remember for its skin that's similar to scales. In English it is called a sugar apple and is called cherimoya in other countries. It is rich in nutrients that promote eye health and blood pressure regulation.

Limoncillo

Limoncillo is a small summer fruit with a thin green shell and an interior pink pulp that can be bittersweet and with a large seed. No wonder people either love it or hate it!
