Hiking to Acatenango is a thrilling experience. Since this is a high and active volcano, make sure your body is capable and have an experienced guide with you!

The active Volcan de Pacaya offers 2 hikes. One goes up to the crater while the other walks you over old lava beds with fresh magma in the cracks under your feet. You can hike on your own, but I recommend going with a guide!
